Dueling Cameras

One bride two photos….

Once in while (actually more than that)  I just see “something”  in my head and I have to make the photo.

Recently, GailAnn made some photos for our client the Prop Gallery. I saw the curtains draped and flowers laid… Then I had this idea to combine two photos for an ad for the prop gallery…illustrating their service for weddings….  Ditto for Newscastle Golf Course which is a spectacular place even if you could care less about golf.

Hindu Wedding

This was a great wedding for photographers….  I haven’t seen this much color in one place in a long time.

Summer Wedding at the Shinto Shrine

One of the highlights of this wedding was the “fashion show”  by www.kimonorentals.com who provided the clothing for the bride and groom.

Camano Island wedding

A good backyard can be just as good or better than any rented venue… Try this one on the water… (well actually you can’t unless you are this guy’s daughter).

You know, it’s not really a wedding unless the family dog relaxes right in the middle of the ceremony.

St. James Cathedral

I (Mike) have been the photographer for 2 Archbishops in Seattle since 1991. I photograph something in St James about once a week it seems… for the last 17 years.

I made my first wedding photos here in 1969. The couple promptly moved to the Philippines (which I don’t think was connected to  the photos).

Anyway here is what one of the premier places in Seattle to get married looks like inside and out.

Melissa and Andrew, September 2008

Early in the day the bride and groom participated in a fund raiser walkathon to raise money for the poor. Then, later, all scrubbed up, they reappeared at St James and got married.

A Walk in the park, then dinner….

This couple had no problem getting permission from the Olympic Sculpture garden for a photo walk through. Then on to the World Trade Center for a marriage ceremony and dinner.

Pickering Barn, August 16th

Pickering Barn was the site for the wedding nuptials of Ali Giesbers and Bryan Webb. It was a wedding that was truly what the couple envisioned. Close friends, good food and great music of course, great photographs!

Trash the Dress

The latest craze in wedding photography is called “trash the dress”. It’s not necessarily about ruining a beautiful dress; it’s more about creativity and not worrying about whether or not the dress will get dirty!

Trash your dress sessions are done after the main event. Our goal is to create a unique, unforgettable and everlasting image that becomes a piece of art; another memory of your love for the dress.  You can jump in the water, jump in the air, roll in the dirt, lay in the grass or whatever else our creative minds can come up with.

Take a look at these creative shots…then call us to set up your session! 206-371-0585 or email: duelingcameras@gmail.com
