The Marriott in SeaTac (near Seattle Tacoma, Airport) specializes in Muslim weddings. Although I have photographed them in people’s homes, and at Robinswood as well. Great parties… plan to stay the night!
One of the things that makes the SeaTac Marriott a great location is the huge indoor courtyard with lots of trees (and swimming pool) for “outdoor” photos in air conditioned comfort.
This was a great (almost) year long project for us in 2008.
In February we met to do a “save the date” photo shoot…. They printed up an “pre-invitation” for their guests:
I want to post just a couple photos here to show you the real reason we are working as a team… We simply get photos we couldn’t otherwise get. With us, remember, your wedding is being photographed in two takes…. No other photographer can do this…. If a photographer works alone he/she only gets one take (movie slang) and the opportunities go away. Here at the cake cutting we are getting two different views of the whole thing. I really liked the over the top view showing the guests….
Here is another favorite page…. end of the evening dancing:

For this couple we produced engagement, ceremony, and reception photos. We also produced a website, a collection of images on CD, a super high quality album (that you can see at Robinswood’s open houses ( http://www.seattlebride.com ) ), several prints as Christmas gifts, 6 family size smaller albums, and a special hardcover coffee-table book for the best man and his family.
February 2009 Update:
The album from this wedding won a blue ribbon with “Excellent” rating at the Seattle Professional Photographers Association Annual Print/Album competition.
